Job Title: Principal Engineer
Locations: New Orleans, Houston, Atlanta, Nashville, Knoxville
Position: Perm
Description
- Provide residential and commercial site investigations to determine cause and origin of structural failure.
- Investigate and assess damages due to catastrophes such as storm damage, hurricanes, and floods.
- Provide signed and sealed detailed reports outlining cause and origin of damage to clients.
- Mange multiple projects and assumes responsibility for project execution within budget and on time.
- Research technical publications and literature in support of evaluations.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to other Engineers.
- Review work of Senior and Staff Engineers and Engineering Intern(s).
- Communicate directly with clients regarding project status.
- Market Engineering Services when not directly working on a job.
- Interview prospective personnel for Engineering Department positions, as needed.
- Responsible for any other duties as assigned by the President.
Required Skills
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling required.

- Successfully complete background-screening process, including criminal, social security verification, credit history, workers’ compensation, and MVR screenings.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- P.E. license required
- Minimum eight (8) years engineering experience and three (3) years forensic experience required.
- Experience working with law firms and insurance companies required.
- Deposition and expert testimony experience preferred.

Job Title: Principal Electrical Engineer

1. Establishes, maintains and technically advances the design philosophy for substation design.
2. Provides the required engineering, design, analysis, estimates, planning and review of substation design packages in a timely manner.
3. Prepares technical material specifications, material contracts, outside service contracts and any related contract management or construction inspection for assigned substation projects.
4. Accountable for design compliance with all governmental, code, applicable industry standards, internal procedures and internal policies.
5. Provides Professional Engineer review and stamping where legally required.
6. Accountable for safety, reliability, operability and economy of assigned substation projects.
7. Provides technical leadership, direction, training and mentoring of the departments engineers and designers.
REQUIRED SKILLS
1. Minimum of 7 to 10 years of Electrical Utility engineering experience with substation installations. A Masters of Science degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering may be used in lieu of 1 year experience.
2. Demonstrated design capability for all types of district substation installations within discipline.
4. Demonstrated technical leadership.

Travel
Primarily in an office environment.
Will be required to visit both district and customer electrical installations.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you an Engineer looking for a career with a stable company with job stability and growth potential? One of our top clients is seeking an Engineer with experience in the pipeline/natural gas industry.
This position requires the ability to perform the following duties: integrity assessments, follow-up repairs and preventative and mitigative measures, risk analysis, class location and HCA analysis, internal and external corrosion root cause analysis and prevention.
1. Participates in technical assignments involving, but not limited to, the following:
a. Construction of new and maintenance of existing pipeline systems including selection of materials, development of procedures, compliance with applicable codes and inspection of work in progress;
b. Evaluation of leakage survey effectiveness;
c. Operation of pipeline system including regulation, measurement, curtailment and loss or gain of natural gas;
d. Compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations;
e. Design of system mains, regulator and meter settings and corrosion control protection.
2. Conducts field investigations involving public contact for acquiring right of way, permits, and route evaluation for gas main and other work.
3. Assists in the coordination of activities between Engineering and Operations to ensure the timely completion of projects.
4. Provides specialized reports and studies as required.
5. Performs other related duties as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
EDUCATION:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and one year professional experience in natural gas industry engineering.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical concepts to individuals with or without experience or knowledge of the technical area.
NUMERIC SKILLS:
Requires the ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric and geometric operations and/or moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and graphics.
WORK CONDITIONS:
